A fairytale beginning for Pieter and Nicole
An international work project abroad brought Capetonian Nicole and Belgium-born Pieter together, and it was love at first sight. “We just clicked, and talked for hours and hours until sunrise. He’s sweet and gentle, and so romantic.” says Nicole of her new husband. Pieter agrees, “I knew there was something very special about Nicole. She is warm, affectionate and of course, she is really beautiful!”
Two sets of families on two different continents meant two destination weddings. Merwida Country Lodge in Rawsonville, Worcester set the scene for a timelessly classic and elegant wedding in the Cape Winelands, and Pieter’s family and close friends flew in to share the couple’s joy. A week later Nicole’s family jetted over to Lier for the Belgian leg of festivities.
Two weddings, two gowns, two countries, one very besotted pair.
Nicole’s mum, Sharon, walked her daughter down the petal-strewn aisle on a blistering Cape Winelands afternoon. The intimate ceremony took place under a cool canopy of trees, and when Nicole and Pieter exchanged their very personal and heartfelt vows, there was hardly a dry eye among their guests.
Later, guests enjoyed games of lawn chess and croquet on the lawns while sipping aperitifs.
A scrumptious 3-course banquet was followed by much frivolity, dancing, and even swimming!
Congratulations Nicole and Pieter. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
